Common questions
What do you actually do?
I help people and businesses do better work. That can mean building a team from scratch, developing its leaders, untangling complicated operations or creating new systems to keep everything running smoothly. My background is creative, but much of my work revolves around people, strategy, commercial performance and making good things happen.
What kind of work is the best fit?
Big, messy, important stuff. A team that's grown faster than it expected or a founder juggling too many priorities. A talented team who aren't achieving the things they could be. I love finding out what's holding things back and why - then figuring out what needs to change and getting everyone moving in the right direction.
Do you only work in creative and Web3?
Not at all. That's where I've spent much of my recent career, but the challenges I've been solving go well beyond either industry. At SCRIB3, I grew a team from 3 to 15 while managing P&L, pricing, resourcing, hiring, professional development and operational systems. Those skills are useful in just about any growing business. The creative background just means we can look good too.
What opportunities are you open to?
I'm interested in full-time leadership positions, as well as fractional, interim and project-based work. I'm more interested in the problems I get to solve and the people I get to help than the title on my LinkedIn. Most of the best opportunities I've had started with a half-hour conversation, and those rarely followed the agenda.
What's your approach to leadership?
People first, but never at the expense of the business. I believe in understanding what makes individuals tick, giving them room to grow and creating an environment where they feel comfortable taking risks. Equally, I believe in accountability, honest feedback and making difficult decisions when necessary. Kindness and commercial common sense aren't mutually exclusive.
Where are you based, and do you work remotely?
I'm originally from the UK, now based in central Portugal. I've spent years working internationally with distributed teams, so collaborating across borders and time zones is second nature. I'm remote-first by default and happy to discuss arrangements that work for the right opportunity.
How quickly will I hear back?
I read and reply to every message personally, as soon as I can. The contact form goes straight to my inbox, or you can always reach me directly on Telegram, X or LinkedIn.
